I thought we'd give you an update. Dixie has quickly won our hearts. She sweet and loveable. Which is good because she is quite the escape artist! Yesterday she somehow managed to breakout of her crate. She knocked it over, then managed to squeeze out between the seams. She did get into some trouble -- chewed the telephone wire, somehow unplug the fish tank filter/pump, and decided to play a few kid games. We were extremely patient. I'm thinking there may be some abuse in her past. Like most young dogs, we've had to say, "no." When we do she cowers and becomes submissive. When she stops doing whatever it is, we give her praise.

This week we plan to get her enrolled in obedience class and take her the vet for heartworm preventative and a generala check over.
Thank you for introducing us to her.

Just an FYI to all those family looking for a puppy, last night I met with signe and she works with Cold Wet Noses she had this adorable 2-3 old Chow mix named Cory, Cory is such an awesome dog he is housebroken, great with kids and my other dog. I know how some people love to bring home a new puppy but for the first time last nite I had love at first sight when I saw cory. As much as everyone enjoys bringing home a new puppy there are way too many mixed breed dogs that needs homes. Please consider adopting or fostering a dog from them, this is a great group of women out to do some good in the world. I feel like such a better person for taking this guy home with me last night because i knew it was right. So I urge you to please, please call these women and just meet with some of the most adorable animals. They even have puppies that need homes. God bless and Thank you! Signe thank you for completing my family!

Lexie is a very sweet shepherd mix gal who ended up at PACC, no idea why as she is such a well behaved gal who is into snuggling and waiting patiently for her owner to come home. I adopted Lexie out to a very nice woman who had lost her dog several months prior to old age. She thought she might need a smaller dog but when she met Lexie and saw how nice she was on a leash she fell in love and Lexie is now being quite spoiled I'm sure.

Rex was such an easy going guy I had to rescue him when he got sick and went up for rescue. He is about 2 years old and went to a family out near Vail who has 2 children and a little dog. He greets them in the morning with tail wags and loves investigating his large yard. His name is now Colby and I'm sure he is very happy to have gotten out of jail and into such a welcoming home.

Emma was adopted out but returned due to digging in the yard that she couldn't seem to be deterred from. Her new foster mom is having a hard time deciding to give her up or keep her as Emma and her Weimaraner go waltzing past her kitchen window every morning.

"Hello, just writing to let you know that Ms. Betsey is doing better and better. She still is very shy with strangers but is great with us and getting socialized with other people frequently. Both Jeff and I love her to death and think it adorable when she cuddles with us on the couch. It’s so hard to imagine no one wanting this great little dog, thanks for seeing how special she was and saving her. As promised (finally) I have some photos, forgive the poor clarity it’s a 1 MP camera. Thanks, Leah"

"Hello Terri,... She is soooo cute. I am really glad we adopted her. She kisses everyone so her nickname has become Hershey kisses. She and Guinness have become the best of friends. They play all day long and then they cuddle together at night. She took awhile to get used to the house and our routine but she has adjusted just fine. I truly believe that she knows this is her home now. She is always coming up to me and giving me a little kiss as if to say thanks mom for finding me. She has definitely found her place in our family. Thank you again for getting her for me and trusting me that I wouldn't bail out on you. I wish I could rescue more than just the one. Keep up the great work you do. Crystal"

"Hi Terri, Diego is doing very well here. He seems to fit right in. Frida is happy to have a friend to play with. Diego loves my cat Tobee. He does try to chase him a bit but he's actually very gentle with him. I think he's really happy here. He’s really opened up and shown me his personality over the last week. Thanks again for all your help with Diego! I’m very happy he's part of my family! Kelli"

Carmen was a beautiful dog rescued from PACC. She was healthy so she was spayed, micro-chipped, had her shots, and within three weeks she got her forever home, with a loving family and a friend to play with.

Henry came from PACC weighing in at 17 lbs.
very sick with pneumonia. The vet described
his condition as having three feet in the grave
and one on ice...
Two months later he was 34 lbs., neutered, micro-chipped,
healthy, and happy. Henry found a forever home with a
loving family, a big sister to play with, and a great yard.

Adopted in December to a wonderful family; she was only fostered for about
two weeks before the family couldn't bear not to take her. She is now known
as Sadie and has a new sister to play with named HoneyBear. Here is what Jamie's mom is saying about
her:
"Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to let you know that Sadie (Jamie) is doing well. She plays
all the time and then crashes, like you said. She doesn't know how to fetch
yet, but we're working on it.
She loves to chew her rawhides. She's helped
our HoneyBear overcome some shyness and they both greet my daughter in the
morning before school with kisses. She's better at eating her food now.
She doesn't scarf it and go for Honey Bear's food. I bought them matching
floral black fleece material for their crates. She goes right in without
treats. It’s cute. She likes running in the cul-de-sac too! I received
her license the other day. She's been great! Thanks again.
- Annette"

Gus was abandoned by his previous owner and was going to be put down for non-adoption.
Gus was one of our longer fosters. He was with Cold Wet Noses for almost 5
months before getting adapted to a wonderful guy. Gus now rules the big
house he lives in and loves the attention and devotion his new owner gives
him.

Cyndie was abandoned by her owner at PACC. She was incredibly well mannered and a very sweet dog. She was adopted within a couple weeks of having her to a great couple.

Charlie was a stray who was going to be put down for kennel cough. How could you say no to such a cute face? Charlie was snatched up within two weeks of having him as a foster. He was adopted out to a wonderful family new to
Tucson.
Another happy ending from Cold Wet Noses Fosters.
Rufus has found his forever home in April with a loving family.
Foster mom: email: Terri terrigoddard@hotmail.com, phone: 520-622-1811 Here is what Allie's papa is saying about her, "She's starting to adjust to her new life and we have a
few kinks to work out but she's sooo smart and she catches on very
quick so im sure we'll be all set in no time :). Thanks again for
all of your help!
-Chase" Ricky is a very sweet and gentle Aussie mix that is great with kids, loves to hang out and take walks. He has found his loving family. "Wow Midnight is doing great... She indicates some interest in the cat, but nothing beyond that. Slept on the bed (by invitation) last
night and has a great personality! What a great dog. Great on the leash and in the house,...all night, no accidents,... Just needs to be fattened up a little....
I am on it... Thank you! Keep in mind a dog that might be a good companion for Midnight,.... Thank you - Forrest" "We are still so happy Charlie has joined our family. He goes on 2-3 mile runs with me and is a great playmate with our son. We love him."Daisy
